Skater Portraits, ongoing

This ongoing project began during the COVID pandemic—a time when working in the studio as usual was barely possible. What started as a personal return to skateboarding quickly evolved into an in-depth photographic exploration of a scene defined by openness, diversity, and mutual respect.

Rather than reproducing the typical images of spectacular tricks or urban energy, this project shifts the focus into the studio—where the person takes center stage.

The portraits feature skaters of all ages, identities, and backgrounds—not as stylized outsiders, but as individuals within a diverse community. They embody a way of life shaped not by competition, but by self-development, freedom, and solidarity.

Skater Portraits is also a photographic statement about belonging, identity, and the power of human connection—rooted in society, far beyond cliché.
